by Marie A. Benesh, Benesh & Associates is backed with 25
years of industry experience
Marie is
principal of Benesh & Associates, an IT management consulting
firm specializing in Enterprise Information Systems implementation
and best practices. She has a wealth of experience in project
assessment and consulting in PeopleSoft®, an ERP-based system. She
has utilized her skills in Program Management, Infrastructure
Implementation and Management, Release Management, IT/User Test
Planning and Implementation within the university and corporate
arenas. Her clients include major universities and Fortune 500
corporations.
With her wide
range of experience in IT management, Marie advises clients on the
issues that arise in managing large-scale projects, including
Program Office set up and management, and coaches project managers
to be more effective leaders. She combines a strong background
in technology and enterprise architecture with a natural talent for
implementing the governance and people structures that make an
organizational architecture effective.
Marie has
implemented leading practices in software engineering for
organizations, and understands the management of application
development organizations. She participates actively in
groups that are focused on uncovering leading practices in IT
management and in providing experiential learning opportunities for
IT Leaders.
Marie's
learnings are shared at conferences and have been published. She is
the author of "Managing Your ERP Project", (Software Testing &
Quality July/August 1999),and co-editor with James Bach and Gerald
M. Weinberg of the Dorset House books, Roundtable on Project
Management and Roundtable on Technical Leadership. She
and is a founding member of The AYE Conference. She has apprenticed
at "Change Shop," a leader's workshop in Organizational Change, led
by Gerald M. Weinberg. Marie was a senior IT Manager at both Touch
Technology (Arizona) and Corning Incorporated (New York), who
focused her energies on leading the development and implementation
of new technology.
Marie holds a
Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Potsdam
and is a graduate of SEM, a year-long program focused on Systems
Effectiveness Management offered by Gerald M. Weinberg. Marie has
